The Ignomar-Roseway Fire Department is an all volunteer fire department located about 30 minutes south of the town of Shelburne, in Shelburne County. Their fire department was founded in 1962. They serve the communities of Ingomar, Red Head, Round Bay, Roseway, and Cranes Point on Shore Road in Shelburne County. They service roughly 225 citizens in their district. They also respond to all calls with their sister department Harbour Fire Department in their district. They have 1 Chief, 1 Deputy Chief, 3 Captains, 3 Lieutenants, and a MFR Unit, in total they have 41 members. Their apparatuses consist of Tanker 81, Rescue 82 (equipped with vehicle extrication tools and a cascade system), and Pumper 83. During the Barrington Lake Wildfire their entire district was evacuated and at risk. Their members fought tirelessly day and night for the entire duration of the fire. Most of them not getting much sleep or seeing their families that were evacuated at the time. They say that their department is truly one big family that goes above and beyond to support each other.
